We spent four nights in this lodge: two nights in a two-bedroom condo, and two nights in a 'loft' suite. The condo's are actually not owned by the resort -- they are privately owned and rented out by the resort. While clean, lakefront and very close to the lodge, the condos are not as modern nor as updated as the lodge rooms (inotherwords, not 'four star' quality as the lodge claims). The lodge itself is beautifully appointed with some strange shortcomings: there is gorgeous slate and wood in the common areas and private rooms, yet faux plants and poor lighting! On the positives: the concierges are very friendly and the front desk will arrange for complimentary and quick trips into town, and the adjoining boathouse has a great staff and a bunch of rentals from which to choose: waterskiing, kayaking, canoing, etc. On the negatives: while the resort has ample 'room' in its common areas, there is no 'store' on site to pick up toothpaste, etc. (You need to walk about a mile down the road). The restaurant, in the morning, is spotty in its service. We would nonetheless return to this lodge in the future, as it was overall a lovely place to stay and we absolutely loved the town of Whitefish.
