The Mirador de Ulia is 15-20 minutes by taxi from the city center of San Sabastian, located high in the neighboring mountains with sweeping views of the city and the Atlantic. For the views alone, a trip would be worth it. But this is also a Michelin star restaurant with a fantastic tasting menu, starters and entrees. The wine list is solid. But there's more - they are child friendly. Not as in many screaming children - our 27-month old was the only child among mostly young very well-dressed romantic couples. But if you manage your child, they will help you out with child-friendly dishes and the staff will smile when your child does something silly and cute. We felt sincerely welcome, especially since this was our biggest concern. There were plenty of views and things to explore outside of the restaurant when our little one was getting too rambunctious for a three-hour Michelin star meal. Would we come here again with our child? Wholeheartedly "yes".
