Peter is an excellent tour guide. He provides as much historical, cultural and modern-day social depth as you desire and can construct a personalized tour if you let him know what your interests are. Our tour was a solid 7.5 hours, complete with visits to the local market, famous temples and tombs, a nice lunch, and a river cruise. We visited Hue in August with temps in the 100s and high humidity, so it really helped that his tour company provided an air-conditioned van to take us around with ice-cold bottled water.
Peter's English - vocabulary and western accent - are excellent. He also keeps an iPad with him to show maps and pictures as we toured around.
