Thanks to the recommendation by the other reviewer here, I also called Mike Katz. He repaired my washing machine for a great price. (And also optimized my new dishwasher, too!) Highly recommend hin for appliance repair.
Update: I called him to repair our oven. Gave him the error code it was reporting. After spending a lot of time on the phone with me, he finally advised me that it was not worth it to have him fix it. He looked up an equivalent, new oven and said, 'You can buy that one, for just a little more than what you'd have to pay me, for parts and labor.' You don't meet many people like him, nowadays.
Another update: He also repaired our dryer. He warned us that the dryer was on its last legs, but we got another few years out of it, thanks to Mike.

Mike is absolutely amazing and is extremely knowledeable regarding all appliances - I had him out to fix my freezer and he ended up "optimizing" my dishwasher too - all for one service call. And he troubleshoots on the phone so he knows exactly what he needs to when he gets to the home. Great service!
