A Wealth of Information

I recently took Mary Lou's Color Quick Assessment Tool Training. WOW! What an incredible amount of information Mary Lou was able/willing to share in that course. I was hoping to learn how to more efficiently use the Color Quick Tool as the first step in my color consultations. What I ended up with was so much more. I completely understand the value of this tool and how to use it effectively which, in turn, makes my entire client consultation sessions more productive and more professional. Mary Lou also shared her career's worth of insights into the fascinating personality traits of the various seasons and how they reveal themselves as the client walks into the room and talks about him/herself in the pre-consultation discussion. Again, so informative and useful! I can't say enough great things about this training. Mary Lou made sure I understood everything and was more than willing to answer any and all questions that I had. I highly recommend this course!

Can I just tell u that everyone needs to have this done especially if your in a business that is public facing. For me, it is helping save time, money and energy in the stores, closet coordiation and a more trusting appearance publicly. I am a hair stylist and u would think that I know it all when it comes to stylist myself, but I dont. Its nice to know that they're peopel like Mary Lou who take colors and presentation seriously. Color and Style

Working with Mary Lou was like working with a therapist. She got to know me and helped me select colors that worked with my skin, hair and eyes AND with my personality. How does she do it? She also helped me choose styles and cuts of clothing, types of jewelry and haircuts. We went through my closet and got rid of a lot that didn’t really work and put together what did in classic pairings. Finally we went shopping for new outfits.
I can’t recommend her highly enough!! Truly delightful.

Mary Lou was really helpful to me. I have always hated shopping and had trouble finding things I looked good in. I knew I needed help because I didn't know which stores would have my size and the styles I liked. I also had trouble picking out colors that look good on me.
Mary Lou was very helpful. She asked me what I liked and what I didn't and asked me what I was trying to achieve with my clothes. She talked with me and explained what colors look good on me and why. She also discussed what styles of clothes would be flattering. Later she suggested a store and we met there. She had already picked out things for me to try. I found quite a few things I liked and bought them. She was super helpful in helping me decide what colors looked good and even explained some things I never understood about sizes. She really did a good job of figuring out my likes and dislikes and I learned a lot.

So far I have met with Mary Lou twice. The first time she came to my house and checked out my closet. She pointed out the clothes that were my color and those that were not.

I met Mary Lou at a clothes swap and she offered me some quick but super effective tips on which colors work best for me. After having a phone conversation and meeting up again at another clothing swap, my wardrobe and self-esteem have been transformed. 30 years ago, I had my "colors" done, and the consultant deemed me an "autumn" and gave me a panel of autumn color swatches. In this case, every person fell into one of 4 color categories that matched a season. MaryLou goes so far beyond this that she's in a completely different league! MaryLou spent 3 hours analyzing the colors in my hair (all the highlights and nuances), eyebrows, skin (color and texture), and eyes (even the color of the rings around my irises!) and produced an absolutely beautiful color fan that had a complete array of colors that are unique to me, not to a season. In addition, MaryLou gave me a huge amount of style coaching, which included what jewelry worked with my face shape and what clothes and accessories worked by for my body type. She showed me how to create a completely coordinated, functional wardrobe so I will never again spend good money on something I'll never wear (or wear once) or that doesn't go with anything else I own. I now feel confident when I shop (and I now enjoy rather than dread it), and when I dress, whether for work, a social event, date, or casual outing.
